To get inspired, you have to open up.
Inquisitiveness opens you up.

To get inspired, you have to open up.
Inquisitiveness opens you up.

I have experienced this myself during the past years. Being inquisitive and opening up has taught me a lot about myself and the valuable connections we can accomplish (if we make an effort). Inquisitiveness has unleashed a curiosity I never knew I had.

My name is Isabella. I grew up in a small town in the southern part of The Netherlands. Today, I live close to Amsterdam, where, together with my partner, I raise our beautiful daughter.

I love being with my family and friends. Spending quality time at home or during our travels and taking a trip with my mom or a friend makes me ultimately happy. Working in the catering business means meeting new people every day. I try to make their day a little happier, which is something I have learned to do, but it did not come naturally to me at first.

Some ten years ago, I spent a lot of time on the internet. I had been studying fashion, was educated in the hospitality and tourism branch, yet I failed to obtain a major graduation certificate. It wobbled my confidence, and I became a little distant to real life until I stumbled on some impactful influencers. People who were honest about their personal life, without portraying the picture-perfect world no-one lives in anyway. I read blogs by people who admitted not to feel overly confident all the time. Besides mainstream celebrities, I started following people who are creative and talented. Who stood out in their unique way. I discovered that every individual has a story worth telling.

“Inquisitiveness is the most useful talent.”
Franklin D. Roosevelt

It triggered my curiosity, and I started being inspired by new subjects. Now, I connect with people more, and I plan to educate myself further. I want to get my navigation license, I want to learn Spanish so I can order a cup of coffee when I am on holiday, and I want to start a course in Photoshop. There is even more to learn, but I haven’t prioritised my wishes yet.

In telling my friends about my plans, they let me know that I was inspiring to them. They encouraged me to share my story with others. So that’s what my website is all about. I hope to inspire you with everything I share about fashion, music, art, and wisdom. My wish is that it will encourage you to open up as well. Just take one little step out of your comfort zone every time. It will lead you to greater leaps in time to come. Just like it did for me.

Love,
Isabella Watty
